Q: How do I choose the right color?
A: We HIGHLY recommend ordering our Color Swatch Ring to see all 64 shades in person before purchasing. You can also email us photos of your hair in natural lighting at info@extensionsgo.com and our team will help match you perfectly!
Q: What if I'm between two colors?
A: Email us at info@extensionsgo.com with photos of your hair and we'll help you decide. It's always better to ask before ordering!
Q: Can I return extensions if I ordered the wrong color?
A: Due to hygiene reasons, all sales are final on opened products. This is why we strongly encourage ordering a swatch ring or emailing us for color matching help BEFORE purchasing.
Q: How long does shipping take?
A: Orders are processed within 2-3 business days. Standard US shipping takes 5-7 business days. FREE shipping on orders over $150!
Q: Do you ship internationally?
A: Yes! We ship worldwide. International rates are calculated at checkout. Customers are responsible for any customs duties or import taxes.

PRODUCT INFORMATION
Q: Is this real human hair?
A: Yes! All Extensions Go products are made from 100% premium Remy human hair. Ethically sourced, cuticle-aligned, and salon-grade quality.
Q: Can I color, cut, or heat style my extensions?
A: Yes—with some exceptions! Our Remy human hair extensions can be colored and heat styled just like your natural hair. However, HANDTIED WEFTS CANNOT BE CUT as this will cause the weft to unravel and shed. All other extension types can be cut to customize. We recommend using heat protectant and keeping heat under 350°F for longevity.
Q: What's the difference between your weft types?
A:
- Genius Wefts (Elite Wefts) – Our THINNEST weft! Ultra-flat, virtually undetectable, great for all hair types
- Handtied Wefts – Thin and flexible, perfect for fine hair, CANNOT be cut
- Machine Tied Wefts – Most durable, maximum volume and density
- Butterfly Wefts – Hybrid with ultra-thin center and reinforced edges for security
Q: How much hair do I need?
A: It depends on your desired look:
- Natural volume boost: 1-2 bundles
- Full glam look: 2-3 bundles
- Maximum thickness & length: 3-4 bundles

Q: How long do the extensions last?
A: With proper care, our reusable extensions (wefts, tape-ins) can last anywhere from 6 months to 1 year. K-Tip (keratin bond) extensions typically last 3-6 months per install. Lifespan depends on how often you wear them and how well you care for them.

WASHING YOUR EXTENSIONS
Q: How often should I wash my extensions?
A: Less is more! Wash your extensions only when they look dull, feel dirty, or have product buildup. For permanent extensions, wash 2-3 times per week maximum. Since extensions don't receive natural scalp oils, over-washing can dry them out.
Q: What products should I use?
A: Always use sulfate-free, alcohol-free shampoo and conditioner. Sulfates strip the hair of moisture and can shorten the lifespan of your extensions. We also recommend using a hydrating hair mask once a week.
Q: What's the proper way to wash extensions?
A:
1. DETANGLE FIRST – Gently brush from ends to roots before getting hair wet
2. Use LUKEWARM water (never hot!)
3. Apply shampoo and gently massage in a downward motion – DO NOT scrub or use circular motions
4. Rinse thoroughly
5. Apply conditioner from mid-lengths to ends only (avoid roots and bonds)
6. Rinse completely – leftover product causes buildup
7. Gently squeeze out excess water with a microfiber towel – DO NOT rub
Q: Can I wash my hair immediately after installation?
A: For tape-in extensions, wait at least 24-48 hours after installation to allow the adhesive to fully bond.

BRUSHING & DETANGLING
Q: How should I brush my extensions?
A:
- Use a soft bristle brush, loop brush, or wide-tooth comb designed for extensions
- ALWAYS start from the ends and work your way UP to the roots
- Hold your hair at the roots while brushing to reduce tension on bonds
- NEVER brush extensions when wet – hair is weakest when wet and prone to breakage
- Brush 2-3 times daily to prevent tangling
Q: Why are my extensions tangling?
A: Tangling usually happens due to:
- Dryness – extensions need extra moisture
- Friction – from clothing, pillowcases, or wind
- Not brushing enough
- Product buildup
Use a leave-in conditioner, brush regularly, and sleep on a silk or satin pillowcase to prevent tangling.

HEAT STYLING
Q: Can I use hot tools on my extensions?
A: Yes! Our 100% human hair extensions can be curled, straightened, and blow-dried. However:
- ALWAYS use a heat protectant spray before styling
- Keep heat under 350°F (lower is better)
- Limit heat styling to extend the life of your extensions
- Allow extensions to cool completely before brushing after heat styling
Q: Can I blow dry my extensions?
A: Yes, but use a LOW heat setting. Air drying is always best for longevity. If using a blow dryer, rough dry the hair first, then use a round brush on low heat. Never go to bed with wet extensions!

SLEEPING WITH EXTENSIONS
Q: How should I sleep with extensions?
A:
- NEVER sleep with wet hair – this causes tangling and matting
- Braid your hair in a loose braid or low ponytail before bed
- Sleep on a silk or satin pillowcase to reduce friction
- Consider wearing a silk bonnet for extra protection
Q: Can I sleep in clip-in extensions?
A: No! Always remove clip-in extensions before bed. Sleeping in them can damage the clips, cause matting and tangling, and is uncomfortable.

STORAGE
Q: How should I store my extensions when not wearing them?
A:
- Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight
- Make sure extensions are completely DRY before storing
- Brush out any tangles before putting away
- Store flat in the original packaging, a silk/satin bag, or hang on an extension hanger
- NEVER store in plastic bags – this can trap moisture and cause mold

SWIMMING & ACTIVITIES
Q: Can I swim with extensions?
A: We don't recommend it. Chlorine, salt water, and excessive moisture can dry out extensions, cause tangling, and damage the bonds. If you must swim:
- Wet hair with clean water first
- Apply a leave-in conditioner
- Wear a swim cap
- Rinse immediately after swimming
- Deep condition afterwards
Q: Can I work out with extensions?
A: Yes! Just tie your hair back in a loose braid or ponytail to prevent tangling. Wash your hair after sweaty workouts to prevent buildup at the roots.

COLORING EXTENSIONS
Q: Can I color my extensions?
A: Our extensions can be colored, but we recommend having a professional do it. NEVER attempt to lighten or bleach extensions at home – this can severely damage them. Coloring darker is safer than going lighter. Always do a strand test first.
Q: Will coloring void my ability to exchange?
A: Yes. Colored extensions cannot be returned or exchanged.

MAINTENANCE FOR PERMANENT EXTENSIONS
Q: How often do I need salon maintenance?
A:
- Tape-in extensions: Every 6-8 weeks for move-ups
- K-Tip/Keratin bonds: Every 3-4 months
- Weft extensions (beaded row, sew-in): Every 6-8 weeks
Don't skip appointments! Waiting too long can damage your natural hair.
Q: Do extensions damage my natural hair?
A: When installed and maintained correctly by a professional, extensions should not damage your natural hair. Damage typically occurs from improper installation, skipping maintenance appointments, or removing extensions yourself.
